Delays expected as stretch of Hucknall Road in Nottingham to close temporarily

Drivers have been told to expect 'moderate delays' when a stretch of the busy Hucknall Road closes later this month. It will be closed northbound, between Haydn Road and the A60 Mansfield Road, in Sherwood, from 9am on Monday, October 10, to Tuesday, October 11, whilst tree maintenance works take place.

The same stretch of road will then be closed southbound from Wednesday, October 12, until Thursday, October 13. The closure is set to be lifted at 3.30pm.

A Nottingham City Council traffic bulletin said due to the maintenance work being carried out by Thompson Tree Services drivers should expect to experience 'moderate delays'. Tree maintenance can include maintaining trees in a safe condition or removing dead branches.
