Delays expected as roadworks off major Nottingham road set to last 5 weeks

Planned roadworks off the busy Derby Road in Lenton are expected to cause delays for more than five weeks.

There will be a lane closure from Derby Road to Willoughby Avenue - with a diversion in place for motorists.

The closure will be in place from Monday, February 14, until Saturday, March 26.

It is all because of ongoing works to excavate a joint bay, then pull a cable and joint before reinstating the joint bay once again.

The work is being carried out by O'Connor Utilities.

Nottingham City Council say "moderate" delays are expected as a result of the work.

In addition to this, from the same date until Friday, February 18, gas works will also be carried out around numbers 123 and 125 in Derby Road.

The works, being carried out by Go Traffic Management on behalf of Cadent Gas, are also expected to cause moderate delays.
