There were a number of delays to train services this evening (June 7) after children were reportedly 'playing on the tracks' near Worle.
Network Rail reported a trespass incident between Taunton and Bristol Temple Meads at around 8:40pm, and said trains could be delayed by up to half an hour.
Great Western Railway services between Penzance and Cardiff Central/London Paddington, and also between Taunton and Cardiff Central were impacted.
One passenger, travelling from Taunton to Bristol Temple Meads, said her train was delayed by around five minutes.

She said: "The train conductor just said over intercom we were stopped due to reports of children playing on the tracks in the Worle area."
The incident had cleared by around 9:30pm.
