Prince Harry's hotly anticipated memoir could be amended with further chapters to bring it up to date if publication is put on hold, it has been suggested.
The tell-all book was due to go to press later this year on an unconfirmed date, although it's expected that this could be postponed following Queen Elizabeth's death at Balmoral last week.
Publishers Penguin Random House have said the memoir was due to come out in "late 2022", and while no change has yet been confirmed, many expect it to now be delayed until next year.
A source close to Harry and Meghan suggested the book would no longer come out as planned, although Penguin has not made any statement to suggest the Royal planned to pull it altogether.

In fact, the Duke of Sussex has reportedly insisted on its release on time according to Royal author Tom Bower, who said it would be coming out in November.
It's now been suggested that a delay could result in new material being added.
Ghostwritten by American author JR Moehringer, it's understood the book was written some time ago and tells the Prince's story of losing his mother Princess Diana, marrying wife Meghan Markle and quitting life as a Royal.
But with the Queen's death such a major event, the Daily Telegraph has suggested the final draft could now be amended with an epilogue.

"With publication delayed, Prince Harry will have time to write additional chapters about his grandmother’s death, ensuring it does not appear out of date," the Telegraph claims.
All members of the Royal Family will be in official mourning for the Queen for another seven days after her funeral on Monday, King Charles has already stated.
During this time, no-one will be taking part in their usual duties and activities, and work will be phased back in gradually afterwards.
Upcoming episodes of Meghan Markle's new podcast Archetypes have also been postponed out of respect.

It's understood that no member of the family has seen any part of Harry's memoir, including his brother Prince William, his relationship with whom is said to have become frosty since moving to the US.
Prince Harry is said to have had a close relationship with his grandmother, and issued a heartfelt statement in tribute to her earlier this week.
The statement published on the couple's Archewell site mentioned the Queen's "infectious smile" and described her as a "guiding compass".
"She was globally admired and respected," the Duke said.
"Her unwavering grace and dignity remained true throughout her life and now her everlasting legacy." You can read Harry's full statement here.
