Dejan Lovren shares Liverpool star Mohamed Salah transformation update but has one request

Dejan Lovren has joked about Mohamed Salah's new figure after calling the Liverpool star for the first time following his exit from Anfield.

Croatian defender Lovren sealed a move to join Zenit St. Petersburg in the transfer window but  it hasn't put an end to the pair's ongoing bromance that begin at Anfield.

Lovren has now revealed the duo are still in regular contact as the centre back shared a snippet of their recent video call on social media after touching base with his close friend.

He also shared a joke about Salah 's new figure for the new season, with the image showing the Egpytian ace to be looking in peak fitness.

The defender posted on Instagram a shirtless Mo Salah with Lovren looking less than impressed in the corner although the Reds former number six commented on how the Egyptian appears to have gotten in even better shape since last season.

"Ok, so I called my brother just to see how he is doing and to be honest for the first time he looks happy (maybe because I am gone),"

"Happy to see him like that but unhappy to see he has more abs than before. Wtf??

"P.S, please next time put your shirt on so I don't have problems with confidence. Thank you."

It's not the first time the pair have managed to share a joke despite now being apart.

Ahead of the new Premier League season, Salah shared an image on his Instagram story of new signing, left back Kostas Tsimikas with the caption 'You're not missed' tagging Lovren in the post along with crying laughing emojis.

Fans unsurprisingly loved the post with one replying "My guys!" and another posted "Poor Dejan!"
