Former Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren paid close attention to Mohamed Salah's pre-season performance against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday afternoon.
The Egyptian forward was named in Jurgen Klopp's starting-eleven to face the La Liga side, starring in attacking alongside Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane.
In addition to having many keen observers inside Anfield, Lovren was another individual keeping a close eye on proceedings.

The Zenit St Petersburg defender shared an image of Salah staring into the distance ahead of kick-off on his Instagram story, with the following caption: "I know you are looking for me. I am watching you @mosalah."
The pair were particularly close during their time together at Anfield and Lovren still remains friends with the prolific forward despite pursuing a new opportunity abroad last summer.
Lovren has enjoyed a successful start to life in Russia, having helped Zenit to a league title and two Russian Super Cups.
Discussing his decision to leave Liverpool and the impact this on his friendship with Salah, the Croatian defender told The Athletic : "It was difficult because I had a life there with the kids going to school.
“My wife and I had our daily habits. And when you have friends like with me and [Mohamed] Salah, of course, you’re disappointed you are leaving.
"But you understand that it’s part of football. In a football career, you are bound to change clubs at times. I accepted it. I moved on quite quickly because I was straightaway focused on my next challenge with Zenit."
