Deiveson Figueiredo mocks "crybaby" Brandon Moreno after UFC 272 title win

Deiveson Figueiredo has labelled rival Brandon Moreno a "crybaby" after reclaiming the flyweight title in their UFC 270 trilogy fight.

Figueiredo won back the title he lost seven months ago by earning a unanimous decision against Moreno last weekend.

The Brazilian was outstruck by Moreno over five rounds but knocked down his opponent three times and scored two takedowns to steer the fight in his favour.

'Deus Da Guerra' was riled up with Moreno during fight week and vowed to make him pay for "betraying" his coach Henry Cejudo.

And Figueiredo labelled Moreno a "crybaby" after he protested the judges got the decision wrong.

“I mean, there were five knockdowns. It was 4-1. They could’ve just given me every round, Figueiredo said at the post-fight press conference.

“Crybaby," he said of Moreno. “Let’s go to the next one, man. Let’s take it up (during) the next one."

Figueiredo had teased Moreno's native country of Mexico as a possible location for the fourth fight, but backtracked on that and suggested Brazil instead.

The UFC hasn't visited Brazil since hosting a Fight Night event in Brasilia two years ago, which was the last card before the Covid-19 pandemic cancelled their next five events.

“I initially said Mexico but I think if we go to Mexico… we might not leave. So I think that we’re considering Brazil might be a better option," Figueiredo continued.

"I can definitely feel the warmth (with Mexican fans). I love when people yell at me and just swear at me. I love Mexico so much.

"I cherish it so much that I’m going to make a video for him eating burritos and saying how much I love Mexico, all right?

"I wanted to knock him out and I felt the crowd was feeling it. If it wasn’t for those 30 seconds, I think I would’ve done it.”

Likely next in line for Figueiredo - unless the UFC make a fourth fight with Moreno - is the winner of Kai Kara-France vs Askar Askarov on March 26.

Kara-France campaigned for a title shot after knocking out former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt at UFC 269, but will instead face the undefeated Askarov.

Before Figueiredo is to make any plans of his next fight, he will return to Fight Ready MMA in Arizona with the coaches who helped him reclaim his belt.

“The first thing, going back to Scottsdale with this team that’s helped me so much. These guys, they gave so much of them to me, to transform my game. This is not just my belt, this is their belt," he said.
