'Definitely' - has selection hint been dropped ahead of Nottingham Forest v Leeds United?

Leeds United legend Eddie Gray has backed marquee signing Jean-Kevin Augustin to make his debut against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The Whites head to the City Ground for a televised fixture, in what promises to be a huge clash in the race for promotion to the Premier League.

Leeds go into the game in second place, but Forest can close the gap to one point with a victory on Saturday evening.

Marcelo Bielsa opted to leave January signing Augustin out of the squad for their defeat to Wigan Athletic, before he played 45 minutes in an under-23 outing this week.

Gray has backed the 22-year-old striker to feature against the Reds.

“I think definitely he’ll be used,” he told Clubcall.“Scoring goals has been a problem recently.

“Patrick Bamford scored his couple against Millwall and you’re hoping he’s going to go on a run and score seven or eight. It never happened for him at the weekend.

“But that’s why it’s always good to have someone there. He’s scored goals in decent leagues, so hopefully he can come in and be a great asset for the football club.

“It will give everyone a lift, the fans, his teammates and that’s what you’re looking for.”
