Defiant Harry Styles smashes gender conventions as he carries a handbag

Harry Styles has proved that handbags are for all genders and that anyone can wear and look good with one.

The 27-year-old former One Direction star defiantly ignored the haters as he starred in a campaign for luxury designer brand Gucci, while posing with the accessory.

The musician appears to have shrugged off criticism after causing a stir in December last year when he rocked a Gucci gown while fronting an issue of Vogue magazine.

He proudly gave fans a look at the garment while guest-starring in mock talk show The Beloved Show for the campaign, alongside his good pal James Corden.

Harry was chosen to show off Gucci's latest bag with Awkwafina, Serena Williams and Dakota Johnson - and he looked incredible.

He clutched onto one of the brand's most exclusive handbags - the Jackie 1961 - in the campaign.

Showing off his incredible style, Harry paired the bag with a huge fur coat, 90s-style flared jeans and a patterned shirt while he chatted to James.

The pair laughed away in the spin-off to popular The Late Late Show, which was upgraded by Gucci for the Beloved campaign.

Harry revealed to fans that James is 'the greatest friend you could ever wish to have' as they joked around in the clip.

In the past, Harry has talked about his love of gender-fluid dressing.

He told Vogue magazine: "Clothes are there to have fun with and experiment with and play with. What's really exciting is that all of these lines are just kind of crumbling away. When you take away, 'There's clothes for men and there's clothes for women,' once you remove any barriers, obviously you open up the arena in which you can play.

"I'll go in shops sometimes, and I just find myself looking at the women's clothes thinking they're amazing."

He added: "There's so much joy to be had in playing with clothes. I've never really thought too much about what it means—it just becomes this extended part of creating something."
