Defensive snap counts, observations for Cardinals in preseason finale vs. Vikings

The Arizona Cardinals beat the Minnesota Vikings 18-17 on Saturday in their preseason finale on the road. They played 60 defensive snaps.

Defensive line

Kevin Strong, 30; Dante Stills, 28; Eric Banks, 28; Ben Stille, 17; Carlos Watkins, 14; Rashard Lawrence, 14; Jacob Slade

Strong played throughout the game. Watkins got 14 early and Lawrence’s 14 were late.

Outside linebacker

David Anenih, 40; Zach McCloud, 33; Cameron Thomas, 17; BJ Ojulari, 16

The Cardinals didn’t have many edge guys available to play. Ojulari played for the first time this preseason.

Inside linebacker

Kyle Soelle, 42; Krys Barnes, 34; Owen Pappoe, 26; Zeke Turner, 11

Soelle got a long look. He isn’t likely going to make the roster. Pappoe also played 15 snaps on special teams.

Cornerback

Bobby Price, 60; Christian Matthew, 34; Kris Boyd, 26; Nate Hairston, 25; Quavian White, 16

Hairston’s snaps came early. Boyd’s came late. Price played a ton and added 16 snaps on special teams.

Safety

Andre Chachere, 34; Jovante Moffatt, 34; Sean Chandler, 26; JuJu Hughes, 22; Kendell Brooks, 4

Everyone played about the same amount except for Brooks, a rookie.
