Newcastle and West Brom played out a dire draw at the Hawthorns as they kept their heads above water for another weekend.
In a game of few chances, Newcastle defender resolutely but there will be frustration among fans that they didn't try to do more against one of only three teams below them in the Premier League prior to kick off.
Joe Willock tested the goalkeeper with a second half chance while Martin Dubravka made some smart stops and commanded his box. But in truth neither side deserved three points from this low octane encounter.
