Defender Sam Stubbs has thanked Hamilton Accies fans for their support after leaving the club this week.
The stopper was unexpectedly recalled by Middlesbrough half-way through his loan spell at New Douglas Park and has linked up with Eredivisie side ADO Den Haag, where former Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has been installed as manager.
In a Twitter post, Stubbs, who quickly established himself as a fans' favourite in his short spell at Accies, said: "Would like to say a massive thankyou at @acciesfc . I thank all the fans for their support throughout the year and wish the manager/staff and the lads nothing but the best for the rest of the season #accies ."
