Both Mirzoyev and Rachabalizoda have been accused of committing a terrorist act and could potentially receive life sentences, according to state-media outlet RIA Novosti. The prosecution has requested that both defendants be detained as a precautionary measure.
Authorities have also asked the court to hold Mirzoyev's hearing behind closed doors to ensure the integrity of the proceedings, as reported by state media.
