Deeside Industrial Estate expansion gets go ahead

A plan to expand a North Wales business park has been given the go ahead.

Flintshire County Council has approved 102,967 sq ft of new business space at Zone 2 on Deeside Industrial Estate in Flintshire.

Planning consultants, Indigo Planning and architects, Fletcher Rae, have worked on the successful planning application of ‘Site ONE'.

This includes plans to redevelop the site at the entrance to Zone 2, to provide two new industrial units, measuring 63,205 sq ft and 39,762 sq ft with ancillary office and a management suite with car parking and landscaping.

Deeside Industrial Park is off the A548/A550, two miles from the end of the M56 which provides access to the national motorway and road networks servicing North Wales and the North West.

Mark Diaper, associate director at Legat Owen, joint agents for the scheme with B8RE, said: “The site occupies a high-profile position at the entrance to Zone 2.

"This latest scheme provides occupiers with the ability to operate from high-quality facilities, which can be developed to suit their bespoke needs.”

Deeside is currently situated within a Tier II Grant Assisted Area and qualifying projects may be eligible for grant support.
