Deer filmed running loose on the streets of Bristol

A woman has spoken about the moment a deer pranced along a residential Horfield street.

Gemma Every, 35, filmed the animal passing her car on Grittledon Road at 12pm on Monday (May 27).

The counsellor was waiting outside her sister's home to give her a lift when the baby deer popped into view.

Ms Every, of Bishopston, said: "Something caught my eye in my rear view mirror and I spun my head around and saw it was a baby deer."

She told Bristol Live there may have been a deeper significance to the sighting.

"I am quite a spiritual person," Ms Every said.

"My sister has been going through a hard time at the moment, and there is a spiritual meaning to seeing a deer.

"It means you should trust your gut instinct, and I think that applies to my sister's situation."

Ms Every, who had never seen a deer in the area before, followed it down the street and thought it seemed "pretty scared".

She added: "It came across a couple of people and bolted in the opposite direction. It must have been looking for its mum."
