Deep Sea World hiring a diver to work with sharks in Fife aquarium

If an office job just isn't right for you, then you might want to pay attention.

Deep Sea World in Fife are looking for a part-time aquarium scuba diver.

The popular attraction in North Queensferry is home to the largest collection of sharks in Scotland within their 4.5 million litre aquarium.

Successful applicants will be getting up close and personal with the huge sea animals - with everyday tasks including putting on shows by feeding the sharks and taking visitors on shark encounter dives.

Job requirements

  • You will have knowledge of diving equipment and will be a minimum of PADI Divemaster and hold an up to date HSE medical.
  • You will have significant experience as a diver both in practice and in theory.
  • You will need to be a good communicator and have a working knowledge of the correct use of dive equipment
  • A good understanding of dive profiles, dive logging and dive theory to ensure that all dives are carried out within Company/PADI/HSE and Zoo Licence requirements
  • As this is an active role, you must be physically fit and capable of working with others.
