'Deep breath' - Why Champions League team were glad to see back of striker linked with Nottingham Forest

Club Brugge managing director Devy Rigaux has been less than complimentary about reported Nottingham Forest target Mbaye Diagne.

The 28-year-old Senegalese striker is currently on loan with the Belgian club from Turkish giants Galatasaray, but has not played since November after falling out with manager Philippe Clement.

Diagne, who cost Galatasaray 10m euros in January last year, is said to have left Belgium for Senegal for a month before returning to Club Brugge after pressure from Galatasaray.

And Rigaux has made it clear Brugge were glad to see the back of him.

"There was a good family atmosphere in the team, we took a deep breath. There were players on the team who respected the club standards, ”he said, according to Le Quotidien.
