Leeds United fans have been making fun of Nottingham Forest after their latest defeat in the Sky Bet Championship.
The Reds suffered a 3-0 loss to Millwall at the City Ground on Friday night, as they chance to close the gap on the automatic promotion places slips away.
Three first half goals from the Lions set the tone for a disappointing evening on Trentside for the Reds.
A brace from Matt Smith, supported by a goal from Jayson Molumby, handed Forest a defeat on Trentside.
Sabri Lamouchi’s side will now rest up and begin preparing for an away trip to Sheffield Wednesday next weekend.
The loss means Forest remain eight points adrift of Leeds, who have a game in hand against Bristol City on Saturday.
Leeds fans took to social media to poke fun at Forest after their defeat to Millwall.
Here is a selection of what they had to say.
Josh: “That's the best game Matt Smith has ever played for Leeds!”
Matt Lobley: “I remember thinking at start of week. Ya know what, Forest play twice before we play again. They could get within 2 points of us. Come 5pm tomorrow.... It’ll be 11 points.”
MCC1: “With NFFC losing 0-3 to Millwall tonight it looks like a case of 'and then there was three' at the top of the C/ship! #LUFC 8pts clear of NFFC with a game in hand.”
Hendo: “Points don't matter since you already got promoted last month.”
Dan Paton: “Millwall at home isn’t for everyone.”
LUFC_George: “So. Shall we talk about tonight?”
Christian Cardiss: “Cheers, Millwall - three points for Leeds tomorrow would put us ELEVEN points clear of Forest in fourth; it all adds greater weight to the game tomorrow lunchtime for Bristol v Fulham. Time to take a deep breath.”
