Dedryck Boyata chase heats up as Olympiacos back in for Celtic defender

Dedryck Boyata is reportedly being chased by Olympiacos once again as he closes in on a Celtic exit.

The 28-year-old is a free agent in the summer and is set to move on after four years at Parkhead.

The former Manchester City stopper was the subject of a £9million bid from Fulham last year but Brendan Rodgers fought hard to keep his man in Glasgow.

Boyata ended up on the sidelines after his move away fell through and was booed on his return against Hamilton.

His agent Jacques Lichtenstein claimed the Greeks were also in for him last summer and look set to return once again.

Greek outlet Sport Time state the Belgian remains a target and the Greek side are ready to make their move.

The Athens-based side are likely to miss out on the title to rivals PAOK and are set to splash the cash in the summer.

Boyata may already have played his last game in green and white after tearing his hamstring against Rangers last weekend.

The imposing central defender has also emerged as an important member of Roberto Martinez's Belgium squad and dreams of playing at Euro 2020.
