Dedicated bus and £1 fares for Saltwell Park fireworks in Gateshead

Thousands are expected to head to Saltwell Park for Gateshead's big fireworks display next month.

Fireworks, fairground rides, a bonfire, food and entertainment are all set to draw crowds to on Saturday November 2. Tickets must be bought in advance. They cost £4 and are available through Metro Radio's website .

With so many people set to attend, and very limited parking, a special bus service has been arranged by Go North East to get visitors to and from Saltwell Park from Gateshead Interchange, which has bus and Metro connections.

To get to the fireworks, head to Gateshead Interchange's Stand D and board the F1 bus, which will run every few minutes from 4.40m to 7.20pm.

Return buses will run from Saltwell Park to Gateshead Interchange at frequent intervals until 9.30pm.

Fares are £1 single for every passenger. Family Day tickets can be used too, with a family day ticket costing £12 for up to two adults and three under 16s. Other Go North East tickets will not be valid on the F1 bus.
