A decorator has taken revenge on a client he says owes him money – by daubing a message on the pub he was hired to paint.
Dean Reeves, 50, wrote: “Want your house painting? Don’t be like Terry – pay the bill!”
He claims builder Terry Taylor paid him just £650 of the £1150 agreed price for the job.
Dean said: “He kept saying, ‘I’ll pay you tomorrow’, but tomorrow never came. I wanted to prove the point.”
But Taylor said the work on the ex-North Star Club in Bolsover, Derbyshire, wasn’t completed.
He said: “I wasn’t going to pay him for the whole job until he finished it – no one would.”
