Declan Rice tipped to be Marina Granovskaia's next signing as Chelsea summer spending continues

Chelsea have spent more than £200million on new players this summer, but there may well still be work left to do.

Kai Havertz and Timo Werner have both played twice since moving to Stamford Bridge, while Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva are among the new arrivals yet to make their Premier League debuts for the club.

After a win at Brighton & Hove Albion was followed by a defeat at home to Liverpool, questions were asked about the strength of the squad and the need for further reinforcements.

We have gathered the latest odds from BetVictor and taken a closer look at some of the players linked with the Blues.

Declan Rice - 4/6

Former Chelsea academy prospect Rice has been heavily linked with a return to west London, but continues to be involved in West Ham United’s season.

The England midfielder has played all 180 minutes for the Hammers, having been an ever-present last season, and is unlikely to come cheap.

However, Rice’s versatility as well as his talent - he is capable of playing at centre-back in a back three, as well as in holding midfield - makes it easy to see why Frank Lampard would be keen on a move.

Andre Onana - 5/2

Chelsea’s pursuit of a new goalkeeper has been a running theme over the last few months, with Kepa Arrizabalaga’s unconvincing performance against Liverpool only making this more urgent.

Ajax keeper Onana has undoubted pedigree, having played in the Dutch club’s run to the Champions League semi-finals in 2019, but Edouard Mendy of Rennes is now understood to be on the cusp of a move.

The best teams around still need two good goalkeepers, though, and if another club swoops to take Kepa off Chelsea’s hands they may still re-enter the market.

Moussa Dembele - 3/1

Lyon’s failure to qualify for the Champions League has seen interest spike in a number of their players, and they have already sold Bertrand Traore to Aston Villa.

Dembele has been linked with a Premier League move on-and-off, having begun his career in England with Fulham, and has scored 20 or more goals in each of his two Ligue 1 seasons since joining from Celtic.

Chelsea may have a vacancy for a new striker after letting Michy Batshuayi leave on loan, though they can still call upon Werner, Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud.

Luke Shaw - 6/1

With new left-back Chilwell still waiting to return from injury, Chelsea have been forced into using Marcos Alonso in their first two games.

However, with Alonso and Emerson Palmieri both attracting interest from Serie A, a new left-back - and one who can help contribute to the Blues’ home-grown quota - could be required.

Shaw has been starting for Manchester United after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side missed out on Sergio Reguilon, but the rumoured arrival of Alex Telles at Old Trafford may mean the England international becomes available.

Lorenzo Pellegrini - 6/1

Roma’s uncertain financial situation has prompted reports that they may need to sell squad members in order to find funds for targets such as Chris Smalling.

One of their more in-demand players in recent years has been Pellegrini, who was involved for Italy in their recent Nations League draw against Bosnia-Herzegovina.

With N’Golo Kante and Jorginho continuing to be linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge, despite their continued involvement on the pitch, a move for Pellegrini perhaps can’t be entirely ruled out.
