Declan Rice sent a message to West Ham fans after their victory over London rivals Chelsea on Saturday.
The Hammers claimed a 1-0 win away at Stamford Bridge, their first victory on the road since the 3-1 win against Watford back in August, and their first win in all competitions since September.
Aaron Cresswell's winner right after half-time sent the away end barmy, while keeper David Martin managed to keep a clean sheet on his Hammers debut - the first time they've managed one since Lukasz Fabianski's injury.
Rice was up against best friend Mason Mount for the first time after previously joining up with the Chelsea star on international duty with England.
And he offered an apology to West Ham fans before stating how happy the win had made him.
"Look, all I want to say is: I'm sorry to all the West Ham fans that we give heart attacks to every week," he said in an interview with West Ham.
"But today that's probably one of the best days of my life!"
Rice earned praise from manager Manuel Pellegrini in his post-match press conference, with the Hammers boss noting the importance of a big performance from the entire team.
"I think that Declan and all the players have a good performance together," he told reporters.
"It doesn't matter if you have a good performance and the rest of the team aren't with you or working the same way. You are not going to be the better team, then.
"I think Declan demonstrated once again what a good player he is."
