Declan Rice will leave Qatar with an empty suitcase after England's World Cup elimination.
Gareth Southgate's side lost 2-1 to France in Saturday's quarter-final clash, with Harry Kane missing a penalty late on that would have drawn the sides level.
Having reached the semi-finals in 2018 and finished as runners-up at last year’s European Championship, England were dreaming of a mouthwatering semi-final against Morocco.

Their hopes were dashed by Aurelien Tchouameni’s early thunderbolt, only for Kane to level from the spot and equal Wayne Rooney’s goalscoring record for England.
France’s all-time scorer Olivier Giroud restored the World Cup holders’ lead and it proved to be the winner after Kane blazed over a late penalty in a crushing 2-1 quarter-final exit.
But prior to the tournament in Qatar, West Ham midfielder Rice revealed he was bringing an empty suitcase to the Middle East and was hoping to use it to bring the World Cup trophy back to England.
He said to his driver after arriving at St George's Park back in mid-November: "There’s nothing in that one. That’s a spare.
"Hopefully I’ll bring home the trophy in this one."

Needless to say that people did not forget about the comments and a number of fans took to social media to bring them up.
One person wrote: "Never forget that Declan Rice took an extra suitcase with him to Qatar for the trophy."
Another tweeted: "Declan Rice brought an empty suitcase for the trophy, he isn't even going with a bronze medal."
Someone else posted: "What's Declan Rice going to do with that Empty Suitcase he brought with him to bring the World Cup home in? All that Extra Baggage for nothing!"
One other tweet read: "Can someone ask Declan Rice to hand over that empty suitcase to France now?"
