West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has admitted he dreams of playing Champions League football amid interest from Manchester United.
The England international has excelled in recent seasons, with the former Chelsea youngster being linked with a lucrative move away from east London to elsewhere in the Premier League.
United have been consistently linked with a move for the 22-year-old, while it's recently been suggested that Manchester City could also enter the running.
Now, Rice has admitted he dreams of playing in Europe's elite competition - although his comments came specifically about representing the Hammers on the continental stage.
“To have that Champions League music playing, that’s where I want to be," he told BBC's MOTDx.
"It’s special, I can't really describe it to be honest. As a kid it’s your dream, first of all to play in the Premier League, but to be competing for the Champions League [as well].
“You know West Ham, people say (we’re) a midtable club and last three seasons we’ve been battling relegation. But this, what we’re doing now, has always been there. It was just about when. We’re on fire.
“We’re on course to have West Ham’s best ever season in the Premier League. That in itself is an achievement and the fans are buzzing. There’s a great chance that we are going to get some sort of European spot."
With four matches to play this season, David Moyes' side currently sit fifth in the table and three points behind Chelsea and the final Champions League spot.
The Hammers require Chelsea to drop points to hand them the advantage, as they prepare for the final matches against Everton, Brighton, West Brom and Southampton.
