Declan Rice admits he's 'never seen' a better finisher than Tottenham skipper Harry Kane

West Ham United star Declan Rice has hailed the goalscoring ability of his England team-mate Harry Kane, stating that he has never seen a better finisher.

The 27-year-old has been in scintillating form for Spurs this season, scoring 12 goals and creating a further 10 from just 15 matches in all competitions.

His performances have helped fire the north London outfit into Premier League title contention, with Jose Mourinho's side able to go top of the table with victory at Chelsea on Sunday.

Rice believes that Kane is up there with the best finishers on the planet, and revealed to Sky Sports' Super 6 podcast earlier this week that he was left stunned by the Spurs striker's goalscoring antics in England training.

Chelsea vs Spurs is special rivalry

When asked which international team-mate surprised him the most, Rice replied: "It’s so hard to say because there’s so many in different ways.

"Even in that last camp just gone back, I said to Eric Dier I've never seen finishing like Harry Kane in my life, I've never seen it.

"We did a finishing drill and he finished every single ball from outside the 'D' with power and precision.

"I know how good he is but witnessing it in training, it’s so sick to watch, as a football person as well, as a fan, as a player, to watch him just doing that you have to applaud it."

Kane will be looking to inspire Spurs to victory with another influential display at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The visitors will be without defender Toby Alderweireld after he was forced off during last week's victory against Manchester City, while Matt Doherty could be set for a return to action having recovered from coronavirus.

Erik Lamela is also approaching full fitness after overcoming a foot injury but is not expected to feature against Chelsea.
