Motherwell have announced the signing of Livingston defender Declan Gallagher on a pre-contract deal.
The Steelmen have been chasing the defender in recent eeeks and have now agreed a deal to bring the stopper to Fir Park ahead of next season.
It's a blow for the Lions after skipper Craig Halkett agreed a three-year contract with Hearts last week.
Gallagher spoke earlier this year about the debt of gratitude he owes Livingston after the club stood by him after he spent 11 months in prison for a serious assault.
The 28-year-old has become a key player at the Tony Macaroni Arena and his excellent displays have earned him a move away.
Well boss Stephen Robinson admits he's delighted to secure the signing of the towering defender.
He told Motherwell's official website: "“We have been a long-term admirer of Declan.
“We are very pleased to have confirmed him for next season.”
