Final details have been confirmed for long-serving Crusaders midfielder Declan Caddell’s testimonial dinner in Belfast next month.
The gala event, which will mark Caddell’s 12 seasons of service to the Seaview club, is being held at the Europa Hotel on Saturday, October 5.
A small number of tickets are still available for the black-tie evening which will be compered by former title winning Crusaders defender Liam Beckett who is now a respected pundit with BBC Northern Ireland.
As well as great food, wine, entertainment and ballots, a live auction of some fantastic sporting memorabilia will also be up for offer.
The evening is a key part of Caddell’s testimonial season which also included a friendly fixture against a Rangers XI in July.
A young Gers side won the summer fixture 5-1 with goals from Arron Lyall, Glenn Middleton, Josh McPake, Andrew Dallas and Serge Atakayi.
Declan has been a fully-fledged member of Crusaders for the past 12 seasons and a key driver behind the Shore Road club’s recent successes.
The 31-year-old, who made his debut in 2007, helped Stephen Baxter’s men win the league title three times in 2015, 2016 and 2018.
In total he has won nine trophies, including the Irish Cup in 2009 and last season, and was part of the team that beat Derry City to lift the Setanta Cup in 2012.
In total, Caddell has made 413 appearances for the club since coming through the youth system as a young teenager in the early-2000s.
Tickets for Declan’s testimonial night are priced £50 per person or a table of 10 for £450.
