Defender Joe Worrall has brushed off any speculation surrounding his Nottingham Forest future ahead of the summer transfer window.
Premier League-bound Norwich City are the latest club to be linked with the 24-year-old, while top-flight Burnley have been long-term admirers and have tested the waters before.
Amid a miserable season for the Reds, which saw them secure Championship safety on Saturday as they drew 1-1 with Stoke City, Worrall has been in fine form.
Although injury has limited his game time, he has been a key player under Chris Hughton and has formed the beginnings of a good partnership with Scott McKenna.
The Nigel Doughty Academy graduate is under contract until 2024, though Forest are likely to face a battle to retain his services come the end of the campaign.
Worrall is used to being the subject of transfer rumours by now, and says it comes with the territory for young players who are doing well.
“It’s the same with any player under the age of 24! It doesn’t matter whether you’ve got two left feet or whatever, you’re always getting linked with whoever - more so in League One,” he told NottinghamshireLive
“If you play in League One, you’re automatically linked with a Premier League club, I think.
“That’s just the way football is, and it won’t change.
“Alex Mighten, Brennan Johnson, Ryan Yates, Joe Worrall - all young lads just get linked with moves everywhere.
“The media push the stories. Some of them are true, some of them aren’t.
“It’s up to Forest and, at the end of the day, me, if interest does come in, to make decisions.
“I’m just looking forward to the next game and playing at Sheffield Wednesday. Hillsborough’s a great stadium to go to, so that’s all I’m looking forward to.”
