Decision made over Arsenal & Spurs target's future, Bale's next club - European transfer rumours

The Premier League transfer window closed on Thursday evening meaning business is done in the English top-flight.

However clubs around Europe can still buy players from the competition until the end of this month.

There are some major names who could yet depart these shores for Europe and there are some big storylines on the continent which could still develop in the coming weeks.

Here's the latest transfer rumours from around the continent.

Neymar close to £170m move

Neymar is set to make a decision on a big-money switch to Real Madrid, according to Spanish newspaper Sport.

The Brazilian superstar, who will miss PSG’s Ligue 1 opener against Nimes on Sunday, is wanted by both Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Sport claim PSG have a “pre-agreement” with Real Madrid but it seems Neymar would rather return to Barca.

Sport add that a decision will be made in the next “few days” and Neymar will join one of the two sides with the deal set to be worth around £170m.

Barca to keep Coutinho

Philippe Coutinho will stay at Barcelona this summer, according to Marca.

Coutinho was linked with a return to the Premier League with Arsenal and Tottenham both reportedly in the running.

But no move materialised and he remains at the Nou Camp.

Coutinho has endured a difficult spell after his £142m switch from Liverpool in January 2018.

Marca now say that he will stay at the club after Barca were unable to obtain the fee they wanted for him.

Bayern could move for Bale

Sport1 suggest that Bayern Munich could turn to Gareth Bale this month.

Bale is surplus to requirements at Real Madrid and had looked set for a move to China last month.

However Madrid pulled the plug and he remains at the Bernabeu.

Munich had been looking to sign Leroy Sane from Man City but his long-term injury has ended any chance of that move.

How injury prone is Gareth Bale?

Bale has now emerged as an alternative for the Bundesliga champions.
