'Decent, proper awful' - Tottenham fans react to new Nike 2020/21 kits and make slogan joke

Tottenham have unveiled their new kits for the 2020/21 season with the shirt available now from the official Tottenham Hotspur online store.

And it's fair to say they have had mixed reviews.

The new home and away kits do not come as much of a surprise to supporters, who have seen kit leaks in the last few weeks showing off the new shirts.

The home kit is the traditional white, with grey knit patterns woven into the fabric - created by reimagined graphics from old jerseys.

However, the club have gone down a different route with the away kit for next season.

Alasdair Gold's Spurs season debrief and the transfer window

Rather than revealing a blue away shirt, Spurs will play their away games in green next season - a decision that has not gone down well with all fans.

Green was, of course, the colour of the third shirt in 2018/19, which became synonymous with the club's extraordinary run to the Champions League final.

They picked up dramatic away goals wins at Manchester City and Ajax in the quarter-finals and semi-finals with the shirt harking back to that run.

There have been leaked images of a yellow third shirt and even a fourth shirt too, but the club has only launched home and away today.

The launch came with the slogan Raise Your Dare - a reference to the club's motto of To Dare Is To Do.

But that only led to the same joke being made by supporters about the price of the shirts, with an elite adult jersey costing £100 and a replica priced at £70.

There were also some fans questioning the players chosen to advertise the kits.

Ryan Sessegnon, Dele Alli, Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Giovani Lo Celso and Lucas Moura were all pictured wearing the new kits, but there was no sign of Tanguy Ndombele.

And that led to speculation form supporters that he will be off this summer, after failing to nail down a regular spot in Jose Mourinho's side.

Let us know what you make of the kits on Twitter and Facebook.
