Dec urges I'm A Celeb fans to 'be safe and look after each other' in sweet message

Dec rounded off tonight's I'm A Celebrity final with a sweet appeal in a truly unique year.

After Giovanna Fletcher had been crowned the first ever Queen of the Castle, Ant and Dec thanked viewers for tuning in every single night for three weeks.

And amid a series that was beset by adversity, including the loss of the usual Aussie setting, their farewell bore more meaning than ever.

"That is it!" Dec announced, "Giovanna is out winner!

"We've had an incredible time here in the castle for the last three weeks."

Ant chimed in: "We hope you've enjoyed it as much as we have, thanks to everyone here in Wales for making us feel so welcome!"

And Dec added: "Of course, please stay safe, keep washing your hands, keep your distance, and if you feel unwell, please stay at home.

"Look after each other!"

Earlier in the episode, Gi had been forced to chow down on things like bull penis and lamb testicle in a stomach-churning trial.

Giovanna managed to earn all three courses, and headed off the camp with a skip in her step in the knowledge she's feast on fish and chips that night.

Radio DJ Jordan North, meanwhile, was locked into a cage with his number one fear - snakes.

"Turf Moor! Turf Moor!" he shouted, taking himself to his happy place.

Vernon was covered on cockroaches and all sorts of other critters, confessing that he's never done anything so grim in his life.

Gi was delighted to make it to the final, cheered on in the outside world by her kids and hubby, McFly's Tom Fletcher.
