Dec makes hilarious Britain's Got Talent slip up as he gets show's name wrong!

There's TV gold for the blooper reels from Saturday night's Britain's Got Talent as host Dec Donnelly gets the name of the show wrong while introducing the latest semi final.

Unlike previous years, this year's semis aren't live and Chronicle Live got a first look at Saturday's episode a few hours ahead of its broadcast on ITV.

And, after he and Dec descend from the ceiling in jet packs to make one of their best BGT entrances to date, Ant once again reminds viewers at home that all the performances on the third semi final are done in accordance with Government guidance on social distancing.

But Dec clearly has coronavirus-related legislation on the brain as he then goes on to say: "Trust me they are following the living daylights out of these guidelines!

"Any one of these acts could be a worthy winner of Britain's Got Guidelines...if that was an actual TV show, which it is currently not," before best mate and presenting partner in crime Ant quips: "But if it happens we're available...we will host," to which Dec responds: "We will host."

Britain's Got Talent has been in the headlines this week after ITV stood by the show and former champions Diversity after their powerful Black Lives Matter inspired performance during the first semi-final attracted over 23,000 complaints to Ofcom.

In a statement, ITV said: "Britain's Got Talent has always been an inclusive show, which showcases diversity and supports strong storytelling in all forms and ITV stands behind the decision to broadcast Diversity's performance on BGT

Ant and Dec SING to open BGT semi finals

"Ashley and the group are a great example of the talent, creativity and diversity of modern Britain and their performance was an authentic, heartfelt response to many of the issues and events which have affected society in 2020."

On Thursday night, Ofcom revealed they wouldn't be making any further investigation.
