Dec and Holly Willoughby celebrate Phillip Schofield's birthday with VERY boozy lunch

Phillip Schofield may well be presenting today's This Morning with a sore head after his birthday celebrations yesterday turned boozy.

The ITV star was joined by co-host Holly Willoughby and a bunch of their closest friends at a posh private members club in Chiswick, west London.

The luxe High Road House - an offshoot of the Soho House brand - was previously owned by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly before they were bought out in 2008, and was the pair's local boozer until Ant moved out of Chiswick and 12 miles down the road to be with new girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett.

While Dec still frequents the super-private members club, Ant hasn't been seen in it since going back to rehab for the second time to deal with his alcohol addiction.

Dec and his wife Ali Astall were there yesterday to celebrate Phil turning 57.

They met up with Phil, his wife Stephanie Lowe, their daughters Ruby and Molly, Holly Willoughby and - bizarrely - Frank Lampard for a slap-up lunch after Phil and Holly wrapped their Monday This Morning show.

Footage from Phil's Snapchat shows how he'd been hitting the bottle early in the morning, after he was presented with a bottle of upmarket gin.

There were more G&Ts on the cards as This Morning producers gave Phil a birthday present in the form of a sampling segment, meaning he and Holly giggled and sipped their way through the show.

And show chef Phil Vickery granted Schofe's request to do a 'pork workshop', giving the silver fox huge amounts of meat to chow through.

No wonder he was in good spirits when he arrived at High Road House for lunch, with each of his guests glugging rosé wine and treating themselves to the pie of the week - a golden-crusted beef and Guinness pastry with mash (£14).

Phil panned his phone around the table as his friends and family sang Happy Birthday - with an Aperol-sipping Holly leaning over the table and excitedly asking Dec: "Who harmonised? Was that you?!"

"No," Dec laughed.

While blowing out the candles on his slice of cheesecake, Phil told everyone: "Aww, thank you guys."

The festivities continued into the afternoon, before Phil and Holly had to call it a night so they could get their beauty sleep before their early wake-up call.

The Schofe ended his birthday celebrations with a much-needed glass of water, telling followers: "School night!!! WATER THERAPY!!!"

The only person missing from the group was Ant, who hasn't been seen in public for a few days now.

He and Dec are due to make their on-screen reunion this Saturday, when Britain's Got Talent returns to screens.

It'll be the first time the duo have worked together since Ant's drink-drive car crash last March, which Dec admitted this week had made him want to 'break up' from his telly partner of 30 years.
