CTA Yellow Line service was suspended for over three hours Saturday because of debris on the tracks in Rogers Park on the North Side.

Trains were halted about 6:30 a.m. due to debris near the Howard station, according to service alerts form the CTA. All service on the line, which runs from Howard to north suburban Skokie, was suspended about 6:47 a.m.

Yellow Line service resumed just before 10 a.m., the transit authority said.

The CTA is advising riders to plan for residual delays as earlier congestion clears.
