Deborah James joked about her You, Me & The Big C co-host Lauren Mahon's sex life on the podcast in an episode from 2018.
The 40-year-old - who has been living with bowel cancer since 2016 - told devastated fans on Monday that she doesn't know how long she has left to live.
BBC podcaster Deborah has raised over £1million in funds for Cancer Research after setting up a JustGiving page less than 24 hours ago.
Deborah fronts a podcast with Lauren, where they talk about living with the disease.
Lauren was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016 and she is the founder of Girl vs Cancer.
They have been open on the podcast about everything - including their respective sex lives.
"Loz, more to the point - more interesting - have you had a sh*g?" Deborah asked on an episode from three years ago.
Lauren replied: "I can confirm I have seen a penis in 2018, yes. I know, I know, yes it's happened. You'll all be over the moon for me."
"You, me and the big D," she joked.
Deborah squealed in excitement as Lauren laughed at her.
Steve, who is the widow of Rachael Bland, then asked: "Is this lovely gentleman one that's going to have the honour of seeing you again?"
"We'll see. I think he might see me quite often."
Deborah erupted into laughter as she added: "Moving on now, moving on."
The light-hearted conversation was sure to make fans laugh.
The episode was dedicated to Rachael Bland - her best pal and former Radio 5 Live co-star, who tragically passed away from the disease in 2018 - and her legacy has lived on.
Rachael's widow Steve took her place on the podcast following her death.
On Monday night, the presenter - who goes by the name Bowelbabe on her social media platforms - admitted things took a turn for the worst as she confirmed she doesn't have long left to live.
Deborah said that although she had been fighting her illness for five years, it was still not easy to accept and to say goodbye.
The brave star penned: "The tweet I never wanted to write. The time has come to say goodbye.
"It has been 5 years to prepare, doesn't make it any easy.
"I'm under hospice at home care and I'm spending my time surrounded by my family. Please buy me a wine to see me out and raise vital funds."
