Debenhams' Christmas advert made its debut last night as the struggling department store makes its Christmas push.
The retail giant, which is set to c lose 22 stores next year , recruited X Factor star Fleur East to perform and sing in its Christmas advert. In the ad, Fleur sings her new single and waves a magic wand to help shoppers find ideal gifts for those who can be tricky to buy for.
The ad forms part of Debenhams' marketing campaign as the struggling retailers bids to cash in on Christmas . The shop is offering three-for-two deal on gift items, as part of its Christmas plans.
Mark Stevens, creative director at Debenhams, said: "When it comes to buying gifts, being thoughtful can often result in more stress, added expense and visits to multiple shops However, Debenhams is here to put the fun back into the festivities.
"We've thought of everything and handpicked a huge range of on-trend gifts that customers can personalise to show their family and friends they love them, without blowing the budget.
"The pressure isn't only on in terms of time but financially too; Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year but also the most expensive, so we have extended our 3-for-2 offers on gifts to make it easier than ever to give memorable presents to the whole family."
Debenhams' Christmas advert launched yesterday on ITV , premiering during a break in a Harry Potter film as well as before Ant & Dec's DNA Journey.
