Debenhams confirms Nottingham store closure date as 80 percent off sale announced

Bargain hunters can get up to 80 percent off fashion and home and up to 70 percent off beauty and fragrance as Debenhams announced the closing date of the Nottingham department store.

The retailer in Long Row will trade for the final time on May 4 before exiting the high street for good.

A queue of shoppers gathered when the store reopened on April 12 to clear remaining stock at reduced prices.

The Nottingham branch is one of 27 in England and Wales closing on May 2 and 4, with all remaining stores to close by May 15.

A spokesperson for Debenhams said: “With such great bargains on offer, it’s no wonder our stock is selling out incredibly fast.

"Time is running out for shoppers to take advantage of the incredible discounts being offered at these 27 stores.”

Debenhams first entered administration in April 2019.

The 240-year-old business went into liquidation in December 2020, after failing to secure a buyer to save the chain. The brand and assets were later acquired by the Boohoo Group in a £55 million deal.
