Debenhams has announced a closing date for another 25 stores in the UK, including two in Greater Manchester.
Department stores in both Wigan and Stockport are set to close as the company continues the process of shutting down its locations across the country.
The number of jobs set to be lost as a result of the closures is unknown but they are the latest in a series of such announcements, with similar shops in Bolton, Bury and Oldham set to shut on May 2.
The Wigan and Stockport stores will be closing on May 8, a spokesperson for Debenhams has revealed.
The firm is trying to sell the last of its stock and is offering major discounts, including up to 80 percent off fashion and home and at least 50 percent off everything across the store.
These deals will come into effect from tomorrow (April 28).
A spokesperson for Debenhams said: “Our stock is flying off the shelves and it’s no surprise with such great bargains available.
"Time is running out for shoppers to take advantage of the incredible discounts being offered at these 25 stores."
The famous brand and website were sold in January, but not the company's shops.
The remaining 118 stores reopened on April 12 after lockdown for liquidators to sell off stock before closing.
