'Debate over' - Arsenal fans make the same Man Utd point as Bukayo Saka in Golden Boy top 10

Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka has been named in the top 10 in 2020’s Golden Boy award.

The Gunners' youngster finished in ninth place on the list and was only behind Manchester City’s Phil Foden in terms of Premier League representatives.

Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland won the award, with Ansu Fati (Barcelona) and Alphonso Davies (Bayern Munich) making up the top three. Jadon Sancho was the highest-placed English player in fourth, with Foden coming seventh.

Saka broke onto the scene for Arsenal last season and has solidified his place in Mikel Arteta’s starting 11 this campaign. The 19-year-old has made 11 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners, scoring once, and adds four England outings to that tally – including his senior international debut.

Saka finished on 13 points in the standings, six points and three places above Manchester United starlet Mason Greenwood.

Debate among Arsenal and United fans has often raged on over who has the more talented youngster.

Greenwood hit 17 goals for United last season as he burst onto the Old Trafford scene, but Gunners have long held the belief their man is the better of the two. And the Golden Boy standings have only reaffirmed that view on social media.

The Golden Boy prize is awarded by Italian newspaper Tuttosport and is given to the best player aged 21 or under from one of the top European leagues. It was won by Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix last year.
