Death toll rises in Bangladesh air force jet crash

  • A Bangladesh Air Force F-7 BGI training jet crashed into a school and college campus in Dhaka, resulting in at least 27 fatalities and over 170 injuries.
  • The incident occurred approximately 12 minutes after the aircraft took off, with the military attributing the crash to a "technical malfunction."
  • The pilot, Flight Lieutenant Md Toukir Islam, reportedly made efforts to divert the plane from densely populated areas before it struck a two-storey building within the school.
