A woman has been found dead at a house in Stirling after police were called in the early hours of the morning.
Officers have launched an investigation after the grim discovery was made at a property in Cultenhove Crescent in the St Ninians area of the city on Sunday.
A man has been arrested in connection with the incident while enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.
The woman has not yet been officially named.
A statement from Police Scotland said: “Officers were called to an address in Cultenhove Crescent, St Ninians, Stirling, at around 5am on Sunday, 28 November, 2021 where a woman was found dead.
“A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and officers currently remain at the scene.
“Enquiries remain ongoing."
