Death of young woman at Dundee flat treated as 'unexplained' with police probe launched

A police investigation has been launched after the sudden death of a 36-year-old woman in Dundee.

The alarm was raised at around 10.20pm on Sunday, April 11, after the woman passed away at a property in Dudhope Court.

Officers are currently treating her death as ‘unexplained’ and enquiries into the circumstances surrounding it remain ongoing.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.20pm on Sunday, 11 April, officers were called to a property at Dudhope Court, in the St Mary Street area of Dundee, following the sudden death of a 36-year-old woman.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained, pending further enquiries.

"As with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
