Death of woman in Blyth home is not being treated as suspicious

The death of a woman whose body was found inside a Blyth home by the emergency services is not believed to be suspicious.

The ambulance service was called to a "medical incident at a private address" on Saturday morning on Twentieth Avenue in the Northumberland town, where a 32-year-old woman was found dead.

Paramedics informed the police and a number of officers arrived in the street.

A police investigation was launched into the woman's death, which is not being treated as suspicious.

In an update on Monday morning, a Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "There is not believed to be any third party involvement and a report has been made for the coroner."

Police officers were informed of the woman being found at 11.25am on Saturday by the ambulance service.

A number of police cars and vans were seen on the street but they left the area shortly afterwards.
