Death of woman at Glasgow flats suspicious as forensics seal off street

The death of a woman at a block of flats in Glasgow is being treated as suspicious.

Cops were called to Cumlodden Drive in the Maryhill area of the city at around 5.25pm on Tuesday, April 6.

The body of a 54-year-old woman was discovered at the flats.

Police have cordoned off the block of flats (Daily Record)

Forensics combed over the property after detectives sealed off the street last night.

Cops confirmed are treating the death as suspicious.

A post portem will be carried out in due course to establish the cause of death.

A blue sheet has been erected at the entrance to the property (Daily Record)

Officers can be seen standing guard outside the property and forensic markers have been erected on the ground.

At the entrance to the block a blue sheet has been placed down over the fence in front of the building.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At this time the death is being treated as suspicious. Enquiries are continuing. A police presence remains in the area".
