A fundraising page was set up on Friday September 10, and a post on the page yesterday (Sunday) reads: "It’s with a heavy heart I write this, sadly Lindsey lost her brave fight yesterday morning.
"All the family and friends are obviously devastated.
"Lindsey will be sorely missed by so many, she lit up the room wherever she went.
"Gary wants me to thank each and every one of you for your amazing generosity. Rest in peace Linds."
Tributes have flooded social media following the much-loved mum's death.
Jennie Bailey wrote: "Such a kind beautiful soul who so very clearly had a big part in so many hearts around Netherton."
Thomas James said Lindsey was "proof that Angels walk the earth too".
Nikkie Langley said: "You’ll be forever missed. Such heart-breaking news. Absolutely devastating, thinking of you all."
Jenna Harris wrote: " The whole of Netherton is broken. [Lindsey] always went above and beyond to help anyone.
"Rest in peace Lins, taken too soon. Thinking of the whole family and everyone who knew Lins. Shine bright kid."
A post on the L30 community centre's Facebook page says Lindsey was "such a big part" of the community.
Part of the post reads: "There are so many words that could describe her, kind, caring, helpful always smiling, always full of fun...but most of all she was a friend to everyone, and she lit up every room she entered.
"We can't put in to words just how much Lindsey is going to be missed by us all."
