Death of two-year-old girl at home in Falkirk sparks police probe

Police are investigating the death of a toddler in Falkirk.

The two-year-old girl was pronounced dead by paramedics at a house in the Redding area of the Stirlingshire town on Thursday

Forensic officers have conducted searches of the family home and are now awaiting the results of a post mortem.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Officers were called to an address in Redding following a report of a two-year-old girl becoming unwell.

“The Scottish Ambulance Service attended and the child was pronounced dead a short time later.

“Enquiries are ongoing and the death is currently being treated as unexplained pending a post mortem.”
