Death of man in Stoneybatter in Dublin not being treated as suspicious, gardai say

Gardai investigating the death of a man in Dublin say they are not treating the incident as suspicious.

The body of a man in his 30s was found at a house in Stoneybatter in the north inner city early on Sunday morning.

Gardai initially said they were looking at all possible causes, but now no longer believe malice was involved.

The State Pathologist and the technical bureau spent the majority of Sunday examining the scene at Ashfield Road, while an exact cause of death has still not been determined.

A garda spokesperson said a report will now be filed to the coroner.

He said: "A Post Mortem Examination was completed, Sunday 16th June 2019.

"The death of a man in his 30s is not being treated as suspicious."
