Death of man in Falkirk 'non-suspicious' as cops continue probe after body find

Police have confirmed that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a man found in Falkirk.

The grim discovery was made within a property on Gairdoch Street in the Bainsford area just after 11:30am on Wednesday January, 4.

Officers were called to reports of a concern for person, and a 38-year-old man was later found dead inside.

Cops remained at the house until late last night.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received report of concern for a person at a property on Gairdoch Street in Falkirk around 11.35am on Wednesday, 5 January, 2022.

"Officers attended and a 38-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The death is being treated as unexplained but non-suspicious.

"A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
