A man has been charged with manslaughter after a man he allegedly assaulted died in the Northern Territory.
NT Police allege the 54-year-old man they have charged was involved in several physical altercations with a 53-year-old man he knew.
After a final assault by the accused man, police allege, the 53-year-old became unresponsive.
Police and emergency services conducted CPR on the unresponsive man at a Darwin River home, but he died there.
Detectives late on Sunday charged the 54-year-old man with one count of manslaughter.
He has been refused bail and will be remanded in custody to appear before Darwin Local Court on a date yet to be determined.
